[HeraldPOP=Reporter Kang Ga-hee] NewJeans members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein have donated 100 million KRW(Approx. 69,000 USD) under their fandom name.
On the 19th, child welfare organization Green Umbrella (Chairman Hwang Young-ki) announced that Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein will support young family caregivers under the name Bunnies (fandom name).
Young family caregivers refer to children and youth who care for family members requiring assistance due to old age, disability, or illness during a time when they themselves should be receiving care. In light of this, Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein have donated 100 million KRW through Green Umbrella to help these young caregivers reduce their caregiving burden and find time for their own personal growth.
Green Umbrella plans to use this donation to support 30 households with young family caregivers nationwide, providing assistance for living expenses, housing, education, medical care, career development, and self-reliance.
Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein stated, "We decided to make this donation to provide essential support and help young family caregivers achieve independence for their healthy development," adding, "We will continue to show interest in helping these children find and achieve their dreams."
Shin Jung-won, Head of Social Contribution Cooperation at Green Umbrella, said, "We hope this support will greatly help young family caregivers spend time on their personal growth and independence by reducing their daily burdens," and added, "We will continue to provide various forms of support so that more children can grow up surrounded by warmth and encouragement."
